How do I make eye contact with girls in the hallways at school without seeming creepy?

I am a senior good-looking guy and a lot of times girls look at me in the hallway but I avoid eye contact or if I make it, I look away immediately. How should I make eye contact without staring or seeming creepy. Some people say to never break eye contact but idk how that would work.
