Really thanks for your help!|||Right now I think they are still working on getting shelter and food for everybody. A lot of schools got destroyed, so there will be a year or longer of studying in halls or out in the open. Also a shortage of supplies, like books, paper and pens.
Don't give the money to a Government appeal.
Check all the official charities operating in Singapore that have an earthquake appeal. Find out what each one is concentrating on (food, clothing etc) to donate to the one doing something special for students.
If you are able to find one large school (the charity might help you) perhaps your school can "adopt" them as a sister school, and send them books or equipment they tell you they need, maybe next year too, until they get back on their feet.

What are the risks of wearing Daily Contact Lenses?
I'm planning on getting Acuvue 1 a Day Moist contact lenses. And I'm planning on wearing them about 6 - 8 hours per day( mainly just for school) for 5 or 6 days a week.
I know there are more risks for extended wear contacts, but how about daily contacts?
My eyes are at about 4.50 degree. I'm planning to keep it as low as possible and do Laser eye surgery when i'm in my 20's.

How long should 100ml of contact lens solution last for?
I have just started wearing monthly contact lenses and was given some solution to clean them and store them in overnight, and I replace the storage solution every day. Using as directed by the optician, I seem to have got through the bottle in about 10 days. Is that normal? Or am I allowed to reuse solution which was storing the already cleaned contacts in? What is the highest contact prescription they make?
I was wondering if anyone knows how high they make contact presciptions. (By high, I mean more severe). I have seen online that certain brands go up to -12 (Acuvue) while others go up to -15. If for some reason, my eyes were to go beyond that presciption, would be able to have contacts? How often should you contact an eBay seller about an item you won more than 2 weeks ago?
I recently won an item off of eBay, it's been over 2 weeks, and I still haven't received the item. I've been contacting the seller every few days, and the seller assures me that my item will be shipped very shortly. What brand of colored contact lenses look most realistic for dark eyes?
I've seen some colored contact lenses on people with dark eyes and while they look nice from far away, when you get close, they look really fake. Is there a brand that blends the actual eye color better with the contact lenses color to look more natural and realistic?|||It doesn't matter what your original eyecolor was.

-Dark complexion look nice with green/light brown/grey
-Olive/Medium/Tan complexion look nice with the ones above but not blue

What's the difference between contact transmission and vehicle transmission?

I know that contact transmission is having direct contact with an infected host, and vehicle transmission is becoming infected through a source of food, milk, water, etc. My question is if a mother infected with AIDS breastfeeds her baby, what kind of transmission would that be?? I am going on a trip for about 25 days. My plan is to bring one new 414 mL (14 fl oz) bottle of contact lens solution. However, my friend wears contacts too; and we are planning to share the contact lens solution, if possible. We usually don't fill our containers all the way up to the fill line--just enough to cover each contact lens. Would one bottle last for us both?|||It won't period. All practioners will warn you not to share this stuff...too easy to spread eye infections. I've worn contacts forever; I'd no more share lens solution than I would share a toothbrush. How do i creat a contact group list in yahoo Classic?
I am new to yahoo email and am trying to create a contact group (category) in order to send emails to a group of people all at the same time. My contacts have been inputted and the instructions say to click on each contact and select the Add to a Category from the drop down menu on the right side of the page. There isn't a Add to a Category area that I can see. I am using Yahoo Classic. Any suggestions?|||In Yahoo Mail Classic, click the Contacts Tab at the top of the page. Who do i contact about putting up a road sign on a road to where i live. For about 3 years now the population of deer has been increasing in my area and I have come very close to hitting them with my car. This road is a two lane road, its very curvy and when its night time it can be very dark. Who can i contact about this? The road I live off of has many curves and looong straitaways and a 45mph speed limit, in a town with no local cops, just county sheriffs and state police but very minimal, so most people speed, especially at night, which is when the deer are likely to cross. And even though I know the road very well and usually anticipate the deer, I have still had quit a few close calls over the years, so I understand what you are talking about. This will help you save on future debts by allowing you to obtain a lower interest rate.
If you feel you cannot negotiate on your own there are professional companies out there that can help you. Most of the time these companies will give you a free consultation and let you know what they can do for you before you decide to use their service. What is good about these companies is that they won't have the emotions you would have when trying to negotiate your own debts. Even after paying the fee, you will most likely still be better off than if you were to do it yourself.

Is it safe to use contact solution instead of eye drops to clear up contacts?
After a few hours of wearing my contacts, they start to get a little foggy. I put eye drops in, but it doesn't make the fogginess go away. So one day I just put in a couple drops of my contact solution and it cleared them right up, but a friend said that the solution shouldn't be used as eye drops like that! Is she right?|||Well, they are not designed to be that wya, but it is not going to Hurt you. I do it sometimes myself. Just do not touch the open end of the bottle to your eye or to your hands. You might contaminate the whole bunch of solution.|||As long as you are using a 'multi-purpose' solution, which is recommended for rinsing, storing, cleaning, and soaking you should be fine. Make sure you are using a preservative-free eye drop (Systane Ultra) or something compatible with contact lenses. Some eye drops make the contacts more foggy because they aren't compatible with contact lenses (Optive). Make sure you are also cleaning your contact lenses nightly, I know many solutions advertise as 'No Rub' but it is still recommended to just do a 5 sec rubdown on each side. If you cannot commit to cleaning your lenses I would recommend using a solution called 'Clear Care' (if you are using monthly/2wk lenses)...but make sure you read the directions, this solution can and will cause a chemical burn! Also, make sure you are replacing them as scheduled by your eye doctor. Once they are worn past the schedule the lens actually starts to break down and slowly loses ability to correct vision. But back to the original question, yes, that is one of the key functions of multi-purpose solution ---rinsing contact lenses!!|||as long as you dont use it all the time. only if you really need it and only 1-2 drops in each eye. I have contacts and i do it all the time. you could also try taking them out cleaning them and putting them back in but thats a hassle lol|||ITS NOT GONNA HURT U. I have six pairs of contact lenses that should last me the next year. I wore one pair of contacts for almost four months without any problems, but now that I have these six new pairs, I'm wondering if I should just switch them every two months or should I just keep wearing the one pair until I feel the need to switch them out? Does it make any kind of difference? I have really healthy eyes and no problems with my contacts up until now, but this is the first time I've worn contacts (save for that first trial pair), so I am a little green when it comes to this stuff.|||In most cases, the disposable contacts are made of the same material as long-wear lenses. They are just packaged differently. As long as you keep your lenses clean and enzyme them regularly, there should be no problem. But if you start to develop any irritation, toss them and leave the contacts out until it is completely cleared. Also, do not switch brands of solutions while wearing the same pair of lenses. If you want to switch, toss the old lenses, and use only the new product on the next pair. Switching solutions midstream will not hurt your eyes, but the chemical reaction of the different solutions can damage your lenses. As always, for best results, do as your optometrist recommends.|||Ask your ophthalmologist!|||Well asking your eye doctor would be a good answer, but from my personal experience, if you have no problem with wearing them, then just wear it till you feel the need to switch because trust me, you'll know when you'll need to switch them.|||Ask your eye dr. about day/night lenses! you can wear them for a month without taking them out. I'm moving away for a couple of weeks and my boyfriend is pretty upset that he can't have anything "physical" (by which he means hugs and kisses, not sex). How do you add multiple email addresses under one contact to a category?
I coach and parents often give me 2-3 email addresses for contacting them. In the past I've been able to create a category, add the contacts, then edit the category and add the add'l email addresses for each contact. I cannot find this capability on the new contacts in yahoo. Anyone else having this problem or have a solution (without adding a contact for each email address)? How many times do you replace your contact lenses case?
I'm new to wearing contacts, and I often read that contact lenses case should be replaced every 3 months to prevent contamination. I plan to take very good care of my contacts, with cleaning and storing them, etc., so hopefully, that means I don't have to keep replacing the case.

How do colored contact lenses work without tinting your vision?
I've always wondered how colored contact lenses work. Are they completely colored, or is there a clear spot in the center for the pupil?
If they are completely colored, wouldn't blue contact lenses tint your vision blue, like sunglasses? If there is a clear hole for the pupil, how does the fact the pupil changes size affect things? I would think when the pupil got really small you would see a small circle of the original eye color around it, and when it got big it would tint the edge of your vision.|||there is a clear hole in the center for your pupil, so you don;t see the color unless it slides over your pupil [like mine often does]

Is it safe to wear blue contact lenses on top of all white contact lenses?
I recently bought some blue contact lenses but because my eyes are so dark, you wouldn't be able to see them. I already own some all white contact lenses (that are basically white on both sides) and thought that if I attached the blue ones onto the white ones and placed the contacts on my eye (from the white side) you would be able to see them. This was in fact the case after I tried them on. I'm trying to pay off my debt on my own, without getting help from a company. But I don't know how to contact the companies I owe on my credit report. There's only the name of the company and a part of my account number. There's no contact number listed for them.

And those that are alive today were only children - less than 2 or 3 years old when the tragedy happened. For example, Lillian Gertrude Asplund was 5 1/2 years old, Eliza Gladys Milvina Dean was 10 weeks old, Winnifred Vera Quick VanTongerloo was 8 years old, Barbara J. West was 3 1/2 years old.
What they do remember of the event has already been well and truly documented by historians and is available to read. Disturbing these survivors, almost 100 years after the event, would be pointless. I doubt their memories of the event are as good as what they are.

Actually there are only 2 survivors left now. A report from May 2007 said that Millvina Dean was in hospital. She is the only remaining survivor|||I think that it is a bit ridiculous to try get information about one whole disaster from one senile person. And those that are alive today were only children - less than 2 or 3 years old when the tragedy happened. For example, Lillian Gertrude Asplund was 5 1/2 years old, Eliza Gladys Milvina Dean was 10 weeks old, Winnifred Vera Quick VanTongerloo was 8 years old, Barbara J. West was 3 1/2 years old.
What they do remember of the event has already been well and truly documented by historians and is available to read. Disturbing these survivors, almost 100 years after the event, would be pointless. I doubt their memories of the event are as good as what they are.

Actually there are only 2 survivors left now. A report from May 2007 said that Millvina Dean was in hospital. She is the only remaining survivor|||I think that it is a bit ridiculous to try get information about one whole disaster from one senile person. They experienced this so many years ago and probably were young enough not to get the grand scope of it. Also someone shouldn't become a celebrity for being in a disaster.

How to completely transfer a contact list to a new cellphone?
My mom got a new phone and had me activate it. After I completely did that, she now tells me she wants the entire contact list from her old phone onto her new one. The contact list is 157 contacts. I have backup assistant on the old phone but it won't let me download it on the new one. How can I transfer the contacts without manually typing each one in?

How do you contact Yahoo to find out about a problem, like everyone loosing contact lists?
Is there a contact to notify Yahoo of a system problem, like contact lists missing, when you see that others have also seen the problem but no one is getting answers.|||Seem to be major problems at the moment. What is the longest length to wear contact lenses?
For example I have 1 month long disposable contact lenses. However, I only wear contacts for special occasions which counts as a week per month. Does this mean I have to switch the contacts every month or is it the length of time you actually wear the contacts? Could I keep the contacts for the 30 days I wear them or throw them out every month? I have specific type of contacts so its rather expensive.|||Ask your eye care professional which type of solution you should be using for your lenses and situation. Some are better for storing.
Even if you are not wearing the contacts, clean them regularly as bacteria can continue to grow if left in the case.
Get a spare case, clean your lenses well and put in the clean case with fresh solution. Dump out the solution in the first case, rinse with hot water, and air dry (store this case open, but covered--bacteria cannot grow in a dry envirionment.)
If you clean and store them correctly, you should be able to keep them at least twice as long since you are not wearing them regularly.
Have you asked your eye care professional about one-day disposables? I have patients who use their lenses like you do and like just being able to throw them away and skip all the care at the end of one day's wear. What is the difference between contact solution and contact rewetting drops?
I have a big bottle of contact solution and a very small bottle of contact rewetting drops that can be used while wearing contacts to rewet them when dryness/blurriness occurs.
