How do i creat a contact group list in yahoo Classic?

I am new to yahoo email and am trying to create a contact group (category) in order to send emails to a group of people all at the same time. My contacts have been inputted and the instructions say to click on each contact and select the Add to a Category from the drop down menu on the right side of the page. There isn't a Add to a Category area that I can see. I am using Yahoo Classic. Any suggestions?|||In Yahoo Mail Classic, click the Contacts Tab at the top of the page. You will see tabs for Mail, Contacts, Calendar, and Notepad. Your contacts should show after you click the Contacts tab.

Once you are on this Contacts tab there is a drop down menu at the top, I think by default it says View All Contacts. The other options in that menu are Unfiled Contacts, Last Import, Deleted Contacts, and Y!Messenger.

1. If you really want to create a special group just click the button at the top for Add Category.

2. Once the category is created, go back to your Contact List and check each of the names you want to add to this category. You will need to use that drop down list to show All Contacts to make them show again.

3. Then on the right you will see Send email, Add to Category, or Delete. Click Add to Category and then choose your new category by checking the box for the one you created.

4. Click done.

Please keep in mind that you don't have to create a special category in order to send a group email, but it may be easier. You could just click New to start a new email and then, choose CC or BCC (you will first have to click Show BCC at the top to make it show), then in the window that opens just check off the names. I highly recommend using BCC over CC which stands for Blind Carbon Copy, this protects the email address of everybody so they do not show. In the To field you could put your own email address then, so nobody else's has to show. This probably would not matter if you are just sending emails to family.

As I wrote this for you, I went through all these steps and created a category for my family. If you need further help you can check out the help pages for Yahoo Classic Mail, it looks like you may be using a help page for one of the other versions of Yahoo Mail.
